Elsie Dinsmore, a mid - nineteenth series, was written by Martha Finley. We are reading these as a "class" & are on book four. My 15 year old daughter, as well as my nine year old son, love listening to me read these books.
I love posting exerpts of books where I find a particular piece of advice or treasure. This picture is one such example of how Elsie's family felt about education. How do you perceive this portion of passage? Many modern families dispise The Elsie Classics. I love how kindly each person treats the other, I love their value of family as well as elders, I love the marriage relationships, and I love how extended family is a gem....worthy of time and travel.
